This engineer will support the photomask organization responsible for mask writing, processing, inspection, repair, cleaning, and metrology in a leading-edge semiconductor facility. The position balances process engineering with equipment ownership, including developing experiments, analyzing data, installing and qualifying tools, improving uptime, and resolving complex issues. The engineer will work closely with manufacturing personnel, suppliers, and cross-functional partners to close technology gaps and maintain reliable, high-yield operations. They will also create procedures and training based on established methods so technicians can perform consistently in high-volume manufacturing. The role suits an engineering or science graduate with strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills who is comfortable working onsite in clean-room environments and supporting night shifts or weekend rotations.

Key qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or scientific field such as Physics, Material Science, Optical Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
Ability to design and execute experiments and interpret complex data
Understanding and application of statistical process control methods
Ability to systematically troubleshoot equipment issues
Good communication and interpersonal skills to work on cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams
Ability to adapt priorities and responsibilities to support business needs
Team player who can multitask and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Ability to wear a clean-room suit while standing and or walking in the FAB as needed
Willing and able to work on-site at Phoenix, Arizona facility
Masters Degree preferred
Photonics, optics or image process related degree preferred
Python programming capability preferred
