Data Center Infrastructure Engineer

TSMCPhoenix, AZ

This engineer will manage and optimize mission-critical data center infrastructure, including electrical distribution, HVAC, UPS systems, generators, piping, and water treatment. The position supports projects from design and equipment selection through commissioning, while coordinating with engineering, IT, and operations teams. A major focus is developing and maintaining immersion and direct liquid cooling systems, using thermal analysis and automation to improve performance and achieve aggressive efficiency goals. The role also involves monitoring facility conditions, troubleshooting failures, analyzing operational data, and introducing DevOps technologies such as Python automation, containers, and CI/CD where applicable. It suits an experienced mechanical or electrical engineer who is comfortable with hands-on facility work, complex projects, controlled environments, and occasional on-call coverage.

Requirements

Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related fieldAt least 3 years operating and maintaining mission-critical facilitiesExperience with electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systemsStrong monitoring, log analysis, troubleshooting, and communication skillsAbility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and periodic 24/7 on-call weeksExperience with liquid cooling, Python automation, or containerized DevOps systems preferred
