Senior Engineering Technician II, Field Service

This position supports the operation, maintenance, installation, and repair of ASM semiconductor equipment in customer cleanroom environments. The technician investigates complex equipment and process issues by analyzing multiple subsystems, connecting tool behavior to production quality, and coordinating with process and field service engineers. Responsibilities include safety oversight, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, technical documentation, customer communication, and support for multiple tool platforms. The role also involves mentoring peers and improving diagnostic methods based on field experience. It suits an experienced semiconductor, OEM, fab, or advanced-manufacturing technician who is comfortable with high-risk environments, customer-facing work, and rotating or night shifts.

Requirements

Technical diploma, bachelor’s degree with relevant experience, or 7+ years of technical experienceExperience with complex semiconductor or comparable process equipmentAbility to install, maintain, repair, and support multiple tool types independentlyKnowledge of cleanroom procedures, contamination control, and high-risk work safetyStructured troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, documentation, and communication skillsWillingness to obtain and maintain ASM GTC Level 3 certification
