Technical Staff Engineer - Design

This position sits within Microchip’s MCU Business Unit, which develops full-stack edge AI solutions for industrial, automotive, data center, and consumer IoT applications. The engineer will establish chiplet boundaries, interfaces, power strategies, packaging approaches, and integration plans while balancing performance, area, power, cost, and manufacturability. They will also investigate advanced semiconductor technologies and improve end-to-end EDA and implementation flows for high-volume MCU products. Success requires close coordination with teams working on CPUs, AI accelerators, memory, software, packaging, manufacturing, and analog products. The role is suited to an experienced semiconductor architect who can lead complex technical decisions, communicate with executive and engineering audiences, and mentor other engineers.
