Controls Engineer 1

This position works under the Engineering Manager to develop and sustain electrical controls and instrumentation across the manufacturing plant. The engineer will automate processes, create schematics and procedures, build or modify control systems, and assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning. Day-to-day work includes diagnosing equipment failures, supporting advanced maintenance troubleshooting, operating data acquisition hardware, and recommending continuous improvements. The role combines office-based engineering with regular shop-floor activity around production machinery, electrical systems, and industrial equipment. It suits an engineer with manufacturing controls experience, practical PLC and electrical panel skills, and the ability to read technical drawings and communicate effectively.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or 2+ years of instrumentation and controls experience in manufacturingExperience with PLCs, electrical panels, installations, and troubleshootingAbility to interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawingsExperience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, or power suppliesBackground in automation, robotics, automotive, semiconductor, or industrial process systemsAbility to lift up to 40 pounds and work safely around manufacturing equipment
