FM Industries, Inc., a subsidiary of Japan's NGK Corporation, describes itself as a contract manufacturer of precision components and assemblies for the semiconductor equipment industry, and its locations page, read in October 2026, lists four manufacturing addresses in Arizona: three in Phoenix and one in Tempe. NGK announced in October 2025 a $64 million capacity expansion at the Phoenix site on S. Riverpoint Parkway, with production scheduled to begin in January 2027; no update after NGK's Nov. 4, 2025 results presentation was found. The company is headquartered at 221 Warren Avenue in Fremont, California, and the company says it was established in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1989 by Jerry Fedor and Jim Miller. NGK Insulators acquired the company on February 1, 2002, and FM Industries is now a consolidated subsidiary of the Japanese parent, which reports 100% direct and indirect ownership. NGK Insulators, Ltd. changed its name to NGK Corporation on April 1, 2026. David Miller is president of FM Industries and is also listed as a vice president of NGK Corporation.

In Arizona, the company lists four manufacturing addresses: 2101 W Roosevelt St, 2635 E Magnolia St and 4150 S. Riverpoint Parkway in Phoenix, and 1530 W Broadway Rd in Tempe. Company-wide, FM Industries says it has eight facilities in Northern California and Arizona covering over 500,000 square feet, with more than 1,000 team members. The company does not publish an Arizona headcount [not independently verified]. Arizona AI does not attribute that total to the Phoenix and Tempe sites. FM Industries bought the Riverpoint building in 2023 for approximately $23 million. The broker on that sale described it as an 89,417-square-foot industrial building, while NGK gives a total floor area of 10,100 square meters on a site of 31,700 square meters.

FM Industries says it specializes in build-to-print precision machined components and in-house special processes including anodization, thermal spray, diffusion bonding, e-beam welding and precision cleaning. The products it names include electro-mechanical assemblies, complex components, electrostatic chucks, load locks, chambers and showerheads, and it lists its markets as semiconductor manufacturing equipment, medical and government. NGK says FM Industries supplies internal components for equipment used in deposition (CVD, ALD) and etching. FM Industries supplies makers of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and does not operate a wafer fab [not independently verified]. FM Industries states that it is registered to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.

On October 31, 2025, NGK announced an expansion of the FM Industries production site at 4150 S. Riverpoint Parkway in Phoenix. NGK puts the investment for capacity expansion at the Arizona site at $64 million. Its Japanese release puts the total investment in FM Industries at 8.96 billion yen and refers to about 3.0 billion yen FM Industries spent in 2023 to acquire the Arizona land and building [not independently verified]. NGK says FM Industries plans about 6.0 billion yen of new spending to install equipment and upgrade the building. Production is scheduled to begin in January 2027, and NGK expects the expansion to raise FM Industries' overall production capacity by about 20% over its prior level. No update on the expansion after NGK's November 2025 results presentation was found, and FM Industries' locations page, read in October 2026, already lists the Riverpoint address among its manufacturing facilities. NGK lists about 150 employees for the Riverpoint site without saying whether that figure is current or planned [not independently verified]. NGK names aluminum components and thermal spray components as target products for the Arizona expansion and says the aim is to secure supply for growing semiconductor demand, including for AI, and to build a supply chain based on local production.

FM Industries is a California-headquartered, NGK-owned supplier that lists four manufacturing addresses in Phoenix and Tempe and whose parent has chosen its Phoenix site for an announced capacity expansion scheduled to begin production in January 2027. NGK's own figures of 19,869 consolidated full-time employees as of March 2026 and 670.1 billion yen in net sales for the year ended March 31, 2026 cover the parent group worldwide. Arizona AI does not attribute them to Arizona, and FM Industries does not publish its own revenue [not independently verified].
