Mechanical Inspector I - 2nd Shift

This position supports manufacturing quality by inspecting first-piece parts, in-process work, finished components, and incoming materials. The inspector interprets blueprints, specifications, work instructions, and process travelers while recording measurements for first-article and final inspection reports. Daily work involves precision instruments and visual checks to identify dimensional or workmanship issues. The role suits an early-career quality professional with strong attention to detail and an interest in machining, aerospace, or automotive production. Familiarity with GD&T and coordinate measuring machines would be helpful but is not required.

Requirements

0-2 years of inspection experience, preferably in machining, automotive, or aerospaceBasic blueprint reading and shop math, including trigonometryAbility to use micrometers, calipers, gauge blocks, thread gauges, weight gauges, and comparative standardsExperience with visual inspectionBasic knowledge of GD&T preferredCMM operation experience preferred
