Planning Manager

This position manages the release and scheduling of shop orders, monitors production requirements, and adjusts plans as demand or manufacturing conditions change. The manager works across planning, purchasing, engineering, quality, inventory control, program management, and external manufacturing partners to prevent shortages and resolve scheduling issues. Responsibilities also include maintaining production schedules, reviewing lead times and routings, supporting material and service requisitions, and communicating system corrections that affect shop execution. The role suits an experienced manufacturing planner or scheduler who can lead a team, analyze complex information, and keep work focused on customer commitments. Candidates should be comfortable with ERP/MRP tools, Excel, engineering drawings, and bills of materials, with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
