Mechanical Engineer

This engineer will develop and refine mechanical designs, tooling, fixtures, specifications, and processes that support the handling, assembly, and servicing of equipment components. The position combines hands-on troubleshooting with engineering analysis, testing, documentation, supplier coordination, and oversight of manufacturing and installation activities. The engineer will also help lead technical projects, establish operational standards, and communicate solutions to cross-functional stakeholders. It suits a mechanical professional with several years of industry experience who is comfortable working with CAD, materials, manufacturing processes, thermodynamics, sheet metal, GD&T, and related engineering methods. The position is part of Applied Materials’ semiconductor equipment organization and includes limited travel and potential relocation support.
