Principal Analog Design Engineer - DC DC Architect

This position sits within NXP’s Advanced Power Systems organization and focuses on defining and delivering high-performance power-management solutions. The engineer will select converter topologies, develop analog and mixed-signal control architectures, and guide detailed design, verification, characterization, and production support. Success requires balancing efficiency, transient performance, EMI, accuracy, thermal behavior, reliability, cost, and functional-safety needs. The role works closely with systems, applications, digital, layout, test, customers, and product teams while providing technical direction and mentoring to other engineers. It is well suited to an experienced analog IC leader with deep DC-DC expertise and a record of bringing automotive or industrial power products from concept to market.

Requirements

M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related fieldMinimum 12 years analog/mixed-signal IC design experience with at least 5 years in technical leadership or principal design roleStrong expertise in DC-DC converter architectures and control techniques (current-mode, voltage-mode, hysteretic, digital-assisted)Proven experience designing automotive or industrial PMICs, voltage regulators, or power conversion productsProficiency with industry-standard EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens) and silicon bring-up expertiseExcellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional team leadership skills
