Sr. Principal Optomechanical Engineer - 4

This engineer will join the Electro-Optics Group within the Launch Vehicles business unit and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams developing prototype and flight hardware. Work includes creating precision optomechanical designs, CAD models, drawings, performance analyses, error budgets, and alignment solutions for imaging systems. The role also supports environmental testing, analysis-to-test correlation, troubleshooting, root-cause investigations, and technical design reviews. It suits an experienced mechanical, optical, or physics professional familiar with high-reliability aerospace systems, optical integration, and tools such as ANSYS, NX, or optical design software. Regular communication with engineering, manufacturing, customers, and other stakeholders is expected, along with occasional travel.
