Machine Operator III

This position works in Applied Materials’ machine shop to fabricate, modify, assemble, and repair parts for manufacturing, engineering, and other internal teams. The operator interprets work orders, drawings, sketches, and instructions to select appropriate processes, tooling, fixtures, and machine setups. Responsibilities include operating CNC and manual equipment, planning complex setups, applying trigonometry, nesting parts to reduce waste, and handling tools and materials safely. As an experienced team contributor, the employee may guide junior operators and help organize daily work without serving as a formal supervisor. The role suits a hands-on machining professional with substantial shop experience who is comfortable with physically demanding work, heavy equipment, and customer-focused collaboration.
