Principal/Manufacturing Systems Engineer (Level 2 or 3)

This engineer will establish and mature manufacturing systems so complex aerospace hardware can transition from development into reliable, affordable production. Responsibilities include applying DoD MRL guidance, closing readiness gaps, supporting program reviews, managing manufacturing risks, and improving process capability through Lean and data-driven methods. The position also involves connecting manufacturing activities with PLM, MES, and ERP tools while supporting digital thread and configuration-control initiatives. Collaboration with internal teams and suppliers is central, including supplier assessments, make-or-buy input, and technical reporting to leadership and customers. It suits an experienced aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or systems engineer who can lead cross-functional efforts, communicate clearly, and work on-site in a production environment with occasional travel.
