Senior Critical Environment Technician - Mechanical SME

This position supports Microsoft’s critical environment operations team at facilities in the Phoenix and Goodyear areas, with a primary focus on mechanical systems. The technician performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, validates equipment performance, supports commissioning, and responds to complex operational issues. They also create and manage operating procedures, analyze reports and incidents, oversee vendor work, and ensure maintenance activities meet safety and documentation standards. As a mechanical subject matter expert, the role provides troubleshooting advice and coaches less experienced staff, including on computerized maintenance management system practices. It suits an experienced critical-infrastructure professional with strong mechanical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in demanding data center or industrial environments.
