This engineer will help integrate and verify electro-optical subsystems used in launch vehicle applications, supporting both component and system-level testing. Working within the Electro-Optics Group and Seeker IPT, the position combines hands-on laboratory work with test planning, data collection, reporting, and troubleshooting. The engineer will coordinate with systems, design, and program teams while following strict safety, quality, and government requirements. It is well suited to an early-career optical, physics, electrical, or mechanical engineer who enjoys working with precision hardware and learning from experienced technical staff. A Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain one, is required, and occasional travel may be necessary.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Optical, Physics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering plus 2 years relevant experience (or Master's degree)Ability to obtain U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearanceFamiliarity with optical/electro-optical systems, laboratory tools, and test methodologiesKnowledge of laboratory safety protocols including laser and electrical safetyExperience maintaining laboratory spaces and equipment inventory managementStrong organizational, communication, and technical writing skills
