Systems Engineer Level 5 - Flight Test IPT lead

This position leads end-to-end flight test activities, from defining objectives and mission requirements through hardware and software development, integration, testing, launch operations, and analysis of results. The IPT lead coordinates engineers across avionics, mechanical, electrical, software, propulsion, sensors, manufacturing, supply chain, and mission assurance functions. The role also serves as a key interface with program leadership, suppliers, U.S. and Japanese partners, and other customer stakeholders, communicating risks, trade-offs, schedules, and technical decisions. Success requires balancing system performance, reliability, cost, and timing in a demanding defense program environment. It is well suited to an experienced systems engineer and technical leader with substantial DoD development, test, integration, and team-management experience.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of relevant experience, or equivalent advanced-degree experienceActive U.S. Government Secret clearance and ability to obtain SAP accessExperience leading technical or cross-functional engineering teamsExperience serving as an IPT lead, technical lead, or comparable program leadership roleKnowledge of DoD systems engineering and end-to-end product developmentExperience developing and executing project schedules
