Consulting Engineer Systems - Level 7

This position serves as a senior technical authority supporting the Launch Services Business Unit Chief Engineer and the Space Based Interceptor program manager. The engineer guides requirements, design, integration, qualification, production, testing, and mission operations while coordinating engineering resources through integrated product teams. Responsibilities include leading design and program reviews, managing technical risks and nonconformances, supporting launch-site operations, and ensuring products meet customer and internal requirements. The role requires frequent collaboration with customers, program leaders, chief engineers, and specialists across disciplines such as avionics, structures, propulsion, sensors, and modeling and simulation. It is well suited to an experienced systems or multidisciplinary engineering leader with extensive missile program and project management experience who can make sound decisions in a fast-paced, high-consequence environment.
