Application & Support Engineer, Photonics Engineer

This engineer will help customers model and resolve problems involving devices and systems such as lasers, waveguides, photonic integrated circuits, sensors, and resonators. They will partner with sales and account teams to scope opportunities, prepare proposals, conduct proof-of-concept studies, and encourage effective use of Ansys products. The position also includes troubleshooting workflows, documenting support, delivering training and presentations, and producing educational materials such as tutorials and webinars. It suits someone with a foundation in optics, physics, or electrical engineering who enjoys consulting, communication, and practical problem-solving. Candidates should be comfortable with photonics simulation software, programming or scripting for analysis, collaborative work, and occasional travel.
