The role supports Tactical Space Systems by building complex cable and harness assemblies from drawings, schematics, wire lists, and engineering sketches. The technician works alongside manufacturing engineering, quality, technical writing, and production planning teams, reporting to the Manufacturing Manager. Duties require careful soldering, crimping, splicing, wire routing, and assembly in a controlled manufacturing environment. This opportunity is intended for eligible transitioning service members participating in Northrop Grumman’s SkillBridge program and may suit candidates seeking entry- or mid-level aerospace manufacturing experience. Success requires attention to detail, independence, teamwork, organization, and the ability to follow documented processes and government workmanship standards.

Requirements

Active duty military status with at least 180 days served and within 12 months of separationHigh school diploma or equivalent; Tech 1 requires 0 years experience, Tech 2 requires 2 years in soldering or cable/harness workAbility to obtain and maintain U.S. Government DoD security clearanceStrong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to work with technical documentationPreferred: Aerospace manufacturing experience, IPC 620 or NASA J-STD certifications, familiarity with ESD and FOD protocols
