Mechanical Engineering Manager 2

This manager oversees production support, supplier engineering and development, and engineering test activities within the Medium Caliber Gun Operating Unit. They guide staff development and capacity planning while ensuring procedures, technical standards, and customer commitments are met. The role partners with manufacturing, suppliers, customers, and cross-functional product teams to resolve issues, improve manufacturability, and support system testing in laboratory, vehicle, field, and production environments. It also contributes to design-for-manufacture and assembly, material review decisions, engineering capability improvements, and site leadership. The position suits an experienced mechanical or manufacturing engineering leader who is comfortable managing teams, working in a defense manufacturing setting, and making decisions across complex technical and supplier relationships.
