This position within Pima County's Information Technology Department focuses on security compliance and technical control auditing across the organization's infrastructure. The Security Engineer II monitors security systems, conducts vulnerability assessments, performs incident investigations, and develops security policies while ensuring alignment with federal and industry compliance standards like NIST, HIPAA, and CJIS. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in related field AND 5 years information security experience, OR 2 years as Security Engineer I at Pima County3+ years Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID, Windows Server and Desktop administration experience3+ years DNS, networking, VPN, and vulnerability scanning experience3+ years SIEM utilization for investigation and compliance auditing3+ years experience with security policies including CJIS, NIST, HIPAA, PCI complianceValid Arizona driver's license required; ability to pass 39-month DOT Motor Vehicle Record review
