Sr. Principal Optical Integrated Dewar Cryo Assembly (IDCA) Responsible Engineer

This engineer serves as the technical authority for IDCA and CPE development across design, procurement, assembly integration, verification, and system-level interface control. The position collaborates with avionics, GNC, software, mechanical, manufacturing, materials, suppliers, and test teams to deliver hardware for high-reliability launch vehicle or defense programs. Key work includes managing requirements and documentation, overseeing thermal-vacuum and mechanical qualification activities, correlating sensor models with measured performance, and resolving technical issues and risks. The role also involves presenting status and results at design, integration, and readiness reviews, with limited travel and a Secret clearance requirement. It suits an experienced electro-optical, infrared, cryogenic, or sensor-systems engineer who can combine deep technical knowledge with cross-functional leadership and supplier management.
