Principal Mechanical Engineer / Sr. Principal Mechanical Engineer

This engineer will work within the Space Sector’s Mechanical Systems & Design organization, progressing spacecraft hardware from requirements definition through integration and verification. Responsibilities include detailed mechanical design, stress evaluation, materials application, GD&T, design for manufacturing, and preparation of production drawings and models. The position involves close coordination with program leaders, customers, multidisciplinary engineering teams, and suppliers to meet technical and schedule objectives. It is well suited to an experienced mechanical engineer with spacecraft or aerospace hardware experience, strong 3D CAD skills, and effective communication and leadership abilities. The level offered will depend on the candidate’s education and relevant experience, and the role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.
