MES and Factory Automation Engineer

Amkor Technology Arizona is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer (MES / Factory Automation) supporting the implementation and operation of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), CIM, automation, and quality systems for Amkor Technology's advanced Arizona Technology Assembly (ATA) greenfield facility. This role is primarily focused on system configuration, integration, and deployment rather than software development. The engineer will work closely with internal teams, vendors, and manufacturing stakeholders to build and scale highly automated, reliable factory systems from the ground up.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline3-6 years of experience in manufacturing IT, factory automation, or semiconductor manufacturing systemsHands-on experience with MES, CIM/EAP/RMS, automation, logistics, or quality systems including SPC and FDCUnderstanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and shop floor operationsExperience supporting production manufacturing systemsStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively within cross-functional teamsExperience with commercial manufacturing software platforms, preferably Applied Materials solutionsExperience supporting MES or automation systems within semiconductor fabrication, assembly, or test environmentsExposure to system integration or factory systems deployment projectsBasic understanding of equipment interfaces and material handling systemsFamiliarity with analytics and AI/ML applications in manufacturing environments
