This engineer will own EMI/C and broader electromagnetic environmental effects compliance, balancing technical execution with program cost and schedule needs. Responsibilities include developing interference and shielding models, designing specialized test equipment, conducting emissions and susceptibility testing, and preparing qualification procedures and reports. The position supports Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems organization and may involve travel, design reviews, troubleshooting at other sites, and occasional off-shift work. It suits an experienced electrical or systems engineer with practical RF/EMI testing expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate independently and within a team. A current Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain SCI access are required.

Requirements

STEM bachelor’s with 5+ years of experience for Level 3 or 8+ years for Level 4, with equivalent advanced-degree pathwaysActive U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with recent SSBI and ability to obtain SCI accessExperience with EMI/C qualification, engineering analysis, testing, and troubleshootingHands-on knowledge of emissions and immunity testing and applicable military or commercial standardsFamiliarity with RF and EMI/C laboratory equipment, test software, MATLAB, or MathcadWillingness to travel approximately 10% and support occasional off-shift testing
