Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems team in Gilbert, Arizona is seeking an individual contributor to support spacecraft, satellite, and payload engineering across the full mission lifecycle. The engineer will lead or contribute to requirements development, interface definition, trade studies, system assessments, configuration control, technical reviews, and integration and test activities. The position may also involve mission analysis, CONOPS, command and telemetry databases, configuration modeling, and specialized support in areas such as avionics, power, communications, or orbital mechanics. This opportunity suits an experienced systems engineer who can understand complex hardware and software interactions, communicate technical information clearly, and drive work toward completion. Applicants must have relevant STEM education and engineering experience, along with an active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain required program access.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of engineering experience, or an advanced degree with equivalent experienceActive or current U.S. Government Top Secret clearance at applicationExperience with systems engineering functions, preferably in space programs or satellite operationsSkills in requirements development, allocation, verification, and interface managementStrong technical problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication abilitiesExperience with spacecraft integration and testing, mission operations, or tools such as MATLAB, STK, DOORS, CORE, or CAMEO
