This position leads the development and execution of technical strategy across critical Space Systems programs, from early research and architecture through missile-system production and fielding. The fellow will oversee systems engineering activities, requirements and verification planning, technology roadmaps, and the adoption of engineering methods such as MBSE and Agile. The role also involves influencing organizational change, mentoring engineers, building effective teams, managing resources, and supporting business growth and campaign efforts. Success requires strong communication with executives, chief engineers, IPT leads, customers, and technical communities. It is suited to an exceptionally experienced engineering leader with deep weapons-system expertise, strategic judgment, and the ability to work across multiple disciplines.

Requirements

20+ years of experience in weapons systems design, operation, and production (or 18+ with Masters, 15+ with PhD)Active Top Secret DoD security clearance with ability to obtain SCI accessExpertise in missile lifecycle from conceptual design through fielding, including systems engineering and MBSEProficiency with airworthiness and nuclear surety certification standardsDemonstrated leadership in building teams, managing organizational change, and mentoring engineersAbility to travel up to 25% and interface effectively with senior leadership across company and customer organizations
