Open role
Mechanical Engineer II - Thermal Engineer
This engineer will work within Raytheon’s Mechanical Analysis and Test organization, helping ensure that products meet structural and thermal performance goals from early design through production support. Responsibilities include developing thermal models, conducting analyses with analytical and finite-element methods, planning validation tests, interpreting results, and correlating models to hardware data. The position also involves peer reviews, customer presentations, technical documentation, and coordinating work within program cost and schedule expectations. It suits a collaborative mechanical or aerospace engineer with practical thermodynamics and thermal-analysis experience who can also work independently. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain an interim, transferable Secret clearance are required because of the defense-related work.
