Critical Environment Mechanical Engineer
This engineer will create scalable mechanical designs, specifications, drawings, and verification plans for complex infrastructure or hardware applications. They will assess design alternatives, resolve multifaceted technical challenges, and make recommendations that balance cost, quality, reliability, security, and schedule. The position also involves developing and reviewing test plans, evaluating production materials and processes, and ensuring requirements such as safety, reparability, and performance are measurable and met. As part of Microsoft’s critical environment engineering function, the engineer will collaborate with stakeholders and provide technical guidance to other engineers. It suits a mechanically trained professional who can work independently on advanced systems while influencing design decisions and mentoring teammates.
