This engineer will support the Launch Vehicles Electro-Optics organization as a technical lead for the Seeker Integrated Product Team. The work spans multidisciplinary integration of optical, electronic, software, and mechanical elements; creation and execution of test strategies; equipment calibration; troubleshooting; and analysis of representative performance data. The position also contributes to root-cause investigations, technical reporting, laboratory operations, and compliance with safety and government requirements. It includes mentoring less-experienced engineers and coordinating with systems engineering, design, and program leadership. It is well suited to an experienced optical or electro-optical engineer with defense, seeker, imaging-system, or precision laboratory experience who holds an active Secret clearance.

Requirements

Bachelor's in Optical/Physics/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with 8 years relevant experience (or advanced degree with proportionally less)Active DoD Secret security clearance at time of applicationHands-on experience with EO imaging systems across visible to LWIR spectrum including optical design and alignmentProficiency with optical test equipment (autocollimators, theodolites, laser systems) and free-space alignment toolsExperience maintaining and calibrating optical test equipment with demonstrated accuracy in integration environmentsStrong leadership, analytical, and technical writing skills with ability to work independently and manage cross-disciplinary teams
