GNC Engineer: Modeling Sim. & Analysis – Level 2 or 3 (Chandler)

This engineer will contribute to space and defense programs by creating flight software algorithms and simulation models that support vehicle guidance, navigation, and control. Responsibilities include trajectory design, sensor-data processing, control-law development, and verification of mission requirements using tools such as C++, MATLAB, and Simulink. The position works closely with GNC specialists and program leadership to communicate technical results and program progress. It is available at Level 2 or Level 3, making it suitable for engineers with several years of relevant experience who are interested in launch vehicle and spacecraft systems. The role is based entirely onsite in Chandler, follows a 9/80 schedule, and may require travel and security clearance eligibility.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with 2+ years experience (Level 2) or 5+ years experience (Level 3); Master's acceptable with fewer years requiredExperience with vehicle trajectory design and requirements analysis in flight software simulation environmentsProficiency in C++, MATLAB, and SimulinkAbility to obtain and maintain U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearanceExperience with autopilot and guidance algorithm design (preferred)Background in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (preferred)
