This engineer will help define architectures, develop software and hardware interfaces, and bring up test laboratories used to validate flight software and sensor-processing capabilities. The work includes creating real-time simulated scenes, integrating six-degree-of-freedom models, and developing GPU applications that reproduce flight conditions for mission-critical testing. The position sits within Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector and requires close collaboration with engineers across multiple disciplines. It is well suited to an experienced software engineer who enjoys embedded systems, simulation, test infrastructure, and defense programs. Candidates must hold an active Secret clearance, meet the education and experience requirements, and be comfortable working onsite on a 9/80 schedule.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with 5+ years professional experience (or Master's with 3+ years, or PhD with 1+ year)Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of applicationSoftware development experience in C, C++, C#, and/or Java in Linux and/or Windows environmentsExperience with real-time computer-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop test laboratoriesFamiliarity with 6 degree of freedom simulation systems and real-time integrationGPU development experience for real-time constrained scene generation
