This individual contributor will coordinate mechanical, electrical, functional, and environmental interfaces between spacecraft payloads and their host buses. Responsibilities include defining interface documentation, resolving technical risks, supporting mission planning, developing test approaches, and participating in readiness reviews and spacecraft operations. The engineer will collaborate with customers and multidisciplinary teams from early design through launch and on-orbit mission support. The position also includes mentoring less experienced engineers and providing hands-on assistance during integration and testing. It suits experienced systems engineers with space or payload expertise, strong problem-solving and leadership abilities, and the credentials needed to work on classified programs.

Requirements

Bachelor's in STEM with 5+ years experience (or Master's with 3+ years, or PhD with 1+ year) for Level 3; Bachelor's with 8+ years (or Master's with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years) for Level 4Strong systems engineering background in architecture, requirements management, integration, test planning, or operational supportActive or current Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCITechnical leadership experience and self-starter mentality with strong problem-solving skillsExperience with space systems, spacecraft design, payloads, or mission operations preferredKnowledge of technical tools like MATLAB, STK, DOORS, or CAMEO
