Senior Network Sourcing Engineer

This engineer will shape sourcing strategies for metro, long-haul, subsea, and data center connectivity, including wavelength services, dark fiber, and colocation. They will evaluate network routes and regional infrastructure ecosystems while negotiating complex agreements with telecommunications, cloud, and data center providers. The position works across engineering, deployment, operations, finance, legal, procurement, and business groups to deliver network programs that meet performance, scalability, compliance, and risk objectives. Success requires strong knowledge of carrier markets, fiber and optical technologies, data center infrastructure, and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions. It suits an experienced sourcing, infrastructure, or network professional who can lead complex negotiations, manage stakeholders, and use operational and financial metrics to improve supplier and program outcomes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or master’s degree with 3+ years, or equivalent experienceAt least 5 years of data center infrastructure, fiber deployment, and terrestrial network routing experienceExperience negotiating complex network, colocation, dark fiber, or supplier agreementsKnowledge of carrier networks, connectivity ecosystems, interconnection facilities, and regional marketsWorking understanding of fiber optics, DWDM, and large-scale network infrastructureAbility to lead cross-functional programs and manage regulatory, supplier, and performance requirements
