Senior Critical Environment Technician

This position is part of Microsoft’s critical infrastructure operations function, responsible for keeping mission-critical equipment and systems safe, reliable, and within design parameters. The technician independently performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance across multiple disciplines while serving as a subject matter expert in a specialized area. Responsibilities include coordinating contractors and suppliers, reviewing work quality, supporting incident response, conducting equipment inspections, and producing technical or root-cause reports. The role also creates and maintains operating procedures and helps resolve complex system issues through stabilization, recovery, and troubleshooting. It suits an experienced critical-environment professional with strong mechanical, electrical, controls, or related expertise who can work independently and coach teammates. The position requires on-site work in demanding conditions and does not offer visa sponsorship.
