Reliability Engineer, Mechanical, NA (Design)

This engineer joins Vantage’s global Reliability Engineering function, partnering with Design Engineering, Automation Systems, Construction, and Facility Operations teams. They will assess mechanical equipment and cooling-system designs, validate new installations, participate in acceptance and factory testing, and identify risks that could affect availability or maintainability. The position also develops maintenance and response programs, analyzes equipment performance and failures, and recommends upgrades, spares, and lifecycle improvements. A key part of the role is advising and training site technicians so they can troubleshoot critical systems effectively. It suits a mechanically focused engineer with data center or other critical-facility experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and willingness to travel to major sites.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field, or equivalent experience2–3 years of critical facility operations and maintenance experienceStrong knowledge of mechanical cooling systems, controls, drawings, and schematicsExperience with commissioning, equipment testing, reliability analysis, and failure investigationStrong organization, communication, project management, and prioritization skillsWillingness to travel up to 25% and work hybrid from an eligible campus
