Engineer, Field Process (Customer Support)

This engineer will serve as a technical connection between the customer fab, ASM field service, account teams, and global engineering groups. Responsibilities include supporting equipment from installation through production, analyzing process and tool data, executing experiments, improving tool matching, and coordinating containment and corrective actions. The position requires hands-on engagement near semiconductor equipment, disciplined escalation practices, and clear communication when information is incomplete or situations are urgent. It is well suited to an early-career or experienced semiconductor professional with strong analytical skills, process or equipment knowledge, and an interest in customer-facing technical support. Candidates who can work collaboratively in a fab, maintain careful documentation, and distinguish verified findings from assumptions will be especially effective.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferredKnowledge of semiconductor processing, thin films, vacuum systems, plasma, thermal processes, metrology, or data analysisAbility to use DOE, SPC, statistical analysis, and tools such as JMP, Python, MATLAB, or ExcelAbility to work onsite in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing facility and communicate with customersWillingness to travel as needed and support extended hours or weekends during urgent eventsStrong troubleshooting, documentation, confidentiality, and cross-functional collaboration skills
