Continuous Improvement Engineer

This engineer will identify operational improvement opportunities across Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing, then guide projects using methods such as A3, DMAIC, Kaizen, and 5S. The position connects Tucson activities with Edmund Optics’ global Continuous Improvement organization and helps standardize documentation, training, knowledge sharing, and employee suggestions. It also involves mentoring staff, facilitating improvement events, coordinating training, and communicating with stakeholders from production personnel through senior leaders. The role suits an experienced manufacturing improvement professional who can influence across departments, analyze process data, and translate Lean practices into sustainable results. A background in engineering, operations, or quality and Lean Six Sigma certification is expected.
