Engineer II-Reliability

This individual contributor position sits within Microchip’s Reliability Engineering team at the Chandler, Arizona headquarters. The engineer partners with new product development groups to build qualification plans, execute reliability testing, and help products meet release schedules across commercial, automotive, and aerospace/defense markets. The role offers mentorship from experienced engineers while building skills in device reliability, statistical analysis, and laboratory measurement techniques. It is well suited to an early-career electrical or computer engineer who is self-directed, collaborative, and interested in semiconductor devices and product qualification. Experience with hardware, test equipment, LabVIEW, MATLAB, or burn-in testing is helpful but not mandatory.

Requirements

BS or MS in electrical, computer, or related engineering with 0–3 years of industry experienceAbility or willingness to learn statistical methods and tools such as JMP or MathcadStrong communication, teamwork, initiative, and ownership skillsInterest in integrated circuits, transistor-level fundamentals, and device physicsLaboratory, PCB design, schematic-reading, or electronic test-equipment experience is a plusAbility to support limited travel of 10% or less and follow company values
