Sr. Yield and Process Control Automation Engineer

This position sits within Intel’s Foundry Back-End Automation team and leads automation architecture, development, deployment, and system integration for manufacturing operations. The engineer will work across wafer preparation, die preparation, and assembly/test environments while partnering with manufacturing, equipment, IT, process engineering, quality, and yield teams. Responsibilities include designing scalable software, resolving complex integration problems, and advancing automated workflows for yield analysis, scrap reduction, process drift detection, and health monitoring. The role also involves technical leadership, mentoring, and identifying new automation opportunities that can shape internal product direction. It suits an experienced semiconductor automation or systems integration professional with strong software, data analysis, YMS, and SPC expertise.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related STEM field5+ years in semiconductor manufacturing automation or systems integration3+ years working with yield management systems, SPC, and automated yield workflowsExperience with SEMI standards such as SECS/GEM, EDA/Interface A, or GEM300Strong debugging and data analysis skills in production environmentsExperience with 300mm manufacturing, MES300, Workstream, or factory KPI analysis is preferred
