Senior Advanced Contracts Specialist

This position sits within GDMS contracts operations and provides senior-level guidance on customer and subcontract matters across the program lifecycle. The specialist leads or supports negotiations, evaluates contractual risks, manages changes, and ensures commitments remain aligned with business objectives and applicable requirements. They collaborate closely with capture, proposal, program, engineering, finance, legal, and subcontract teams, including involvement in supplier proposal reviews and source selection activities. The role suits an experienced defense contracts professional who can work independently, communicate with stakeholders at all levels, and exercise sound judgment on complex issues. It is especially appropriate for someone with strong FAR/DFARS expertise, negotiation ability, analytical discipline, and an interest in applying process improvements and emerging tools such as AI.
