Systems Engineer II - Guidance, Navigation, and Control (Onsite)

This engineer will work within RTX’s Processing, Guidance & Control organization on current and next-generation missile systems. Responsibilities span GNC algorithm design, aerodynamics characterization, six-degree-of-freedom simulation, embedded software integration, and flight or subsystem testing. The position involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary integrated product teams developing software, firmware, and performance solutions. It is well suited to an early-career engineer with strong STEM preparation, programming and analytical skills, and interest in aerospace defense systems. The role is based onsite in Tucson and requires U.S. citizenship along with an active Secret clearance before starting.

Requirements

Master’s degree in engineering, science, physics, mathematics, or related STEM fieldExperience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, object-oriented design, and/or LinuxKnowledge of GNC, controls, modeling and simulation, dynamics, navigation, estimation, sensors, signal processing, or aerodynamicsU.S. citizenship and active, transferable DoD Secret clearance required before startStrong teamwork, communication, and task-organization skillsRelevant projects, research, internships, or prior work experience preferred
