ATD MIHL Equipment Development Engineer

This engineer will develop, maintain, and optimize equipment used to evaluate and manufacture advanced semiconductor packaging. The position combines mechanical design, reliability testing, process optimization, and technical problem solving across conditions such as heat, humidity, temperature cycling, and dynamic loading. The engineer will use DOE and statistical methods, define materials and quality requirements, and work with suppliers, procurement, and cross-functional manufacturing teams. It also involves establishing qualification methods, identifying failure mechanisms, managing technical risks, and driving continuous improvement toward product milestones. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree plus 3+ years, master’s plus 2+ years, or PhD plus 6+ months in a relevant engineering fieldExperience with Statistical Process Control and Design of ExperimentsAbility to interpret mechanical drawings and apply GD&TProficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or comparable mechanical design toolsKnowledge of semiconductor packaging, reliability, or fabrication processesExperience leading technical projects or working with precision manufacturing and suppliers
