Capacity and Capital Planning Engineer - Foundry

This position sits within Intel Foundry’s Factory Capacity Optimization organization and focuses on network design for wafer packaging manufacturing facilities. The engineer will evaluate demand, equipment plans, factory constraints, space needs, throughput, and capital requirements to develop practical planning options. They will partner with manufacturing, technology development, finance, construction, sourcing, and customer planning teams to coordinate decisions and balance near-term execution with future capacity needs. The role also involves creating planning tools, synthesizing internal and external data, and presenting concise recommendations to senior leaders despite uncertainty and time pressure. It is well suited to an industrial or systems engineer with experience in manufacturing capacity planning, analytics, operations research, and project leadership, particularly in semiconductor or other technology-intensive environments.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field with 4+ years of experience, or equivalent advanced-degree experience2+ years in manufacturing systems design, supply chain, capacity planning, or operations researchExperience with statistical analysis toolsExperience using Excel for analytics and data modelingProject management experience in fast-paced manufacturing environmentsPreferred: Python, R, SQL, Power BI, Lean/Six Sigma, or semiconductor experience
