Senior CPU Design Verification Engineer

This engineer will lead pre-silicon verification for complex CPU and SoC logic within Intel’s All Cores Engineering organization and its Atom processor team. Responsibilities include building verification environments, analyzing system-level behavior, closing functional and coverage gaps, and resolving RTL or integration defects. The position also contributes early feedback on architecture and microarchitecture while improving automation, methodologies, and verification infrastructure. Success requires close partnership with architects, designers, power and performance specialists, and physical implementation teams. It suits an experienced hardware verification professional who is analytical, communicative, comfortable with Linux-based tools, and motivated by high-impact processor development.

Requirements

Bachelor's in Electrical/Computer Engineering with 4+ years relevant experience, or Master's degree with 2+ years experienceProven expertise in Design Verification methodologies using SystemVerilog, UVM, and industry-standard EDA toolsPre-silicon verification experience with CPU, SoC, or complex IP designsStrong debugging skills with SystemVerilog, C/C++, and Linux-based simulation environmentsUnderstanding of CPU microarchitecture and computer architecture conceptsExperience with power management, low-power features, and power/performance verification flows
