This position leads approximately 8–10 experienced engineers within Raytheon’s Mission Engineering organization. The leader will handle staffing, mentoring, performance management, career development, and team growth while ensuring engineers have meaningful assignments. Most working time will remain dedicated to an individual portfolio supporting programs, captures, IRAD efforts, and mission-focused technical studies. The role also involves collaboration with business development, capture teams, engineering leaders, and other Mission Engineering sections to strengthen proposals and system-of-systems development. It is well suited to an experienced mission engineering, operations analysis, modeling and simulation, or military CONOPS professional who has demonstrated technical depth and leadership ability.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and at least 10 years of relevant experienceExperience in mission engineering, operations research, modeling and simulation, data analysis, statistics, or military CONOPSActive U.S. government security clearance and U.S. citizenship eligibilityExperience leading, mentoring, or managing engineering personnelStrong communication, collaboration, and team-building skillsAbility to work onsite in Tucson and travel domestically as needed
