Tool Install Project Manager

Working within Intel Foundry Construction and Sourcing, this position supports tool readiness from early design through installation, commissioning, and supplier qualification. The manager oversees execution resources, equipment vendors, procurement, forecasting, logistics, and coordination among construction trades and external partners. The role also collaborates with centralized and cross-site teams to share proven methods, improve processes, and introduce more effective construction and commissioning practices. Success requires strong leadership, communication, project management, and the ability to influence stakeholders in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment. It is well suited to an engineering or technical project professional with semiconductor factory construction or tool-installation experience who is comfortable working onsite in Phoenix.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or a related technical field plus 3+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree plus 2+ yearsExperience managing projects or programs in large-scale construction or factory tool installation and qualification rampsAbility to lead engineers, technicians, suppliers, and construction resources in a matrixed environmentStrong understanding of equipment installation, commissioning, planning, procurement, logistics, safety, quality, and schedule controlExcellent communication, organization, decision-making, and stakeholder-influencing skillsWet Etch or Planar tool experience and PMP, Lean, or Six Sigma certification are preferred
