Yield and Process Control Automation Engineer

This position sits within Intel Foundry’s Back-End Automation team and leads the design, implementation, and deployment of software for wafer preparation, die preparation, and assembly/test facilities. The engineer will translate manufacturing needs into integrated solutions, build real-time equipment interfaces using SEMI standards, and troubleshoot complex system issues. The role works closely with manufacturing, equipment, process, quality, IT, and yield engineering groups to improve analytics, process monitoring, and production performance. It also includes technical leadership, mentoring, architecture ownership, and influencing future automation capabilities. This opportunity suits an experienced semiconductor automation professional with strong software, database, yield management, SPC, and systems integration expertise.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field7+ years of semiconductor manufacturing automation or systems integration experience5+ years with database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL)5+ years with yield management systems (YMS) and statistical process control (SPC)Hands-on experience with SEMI communication standards (SECS/GEM, GEM300)Strong debugging and data analysis skills in complex production environments
