This engineer will support Intel Foundry’s Assembly organization by modeling factory capacity, equipment performance, production requirements, and supply chain scenarios. The work includes shaping tool and capacity roadmaps, forecasting build plans, assessing risks, and translating analysis into recommendations for manufacturing leaders. The engineer will collaborate with planning, engineering, operations, and other cross-functional teams to implement systems and execution plans aligned with product demand and factory capabilities. Regular data analysis and model development will help balance output, cost, quality, and resource use across semiconductor manufacturing processes. This opportunity suits an industrial, systems, or materials engineer with manufacturing experience, strong quantitative skills, and an interest in working partly on the factory floor and in clean-room environments.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Material Science, Systems Engineering or related field with 2+ years relevant experience (or Master's/PhD with 1+ years)Knowledge of manufacturing operations, factory capacity systems, and equipment facilitiesAbility to develop and validate parametric models to predict equipment performance metricsData analysis skills including SQL, JMP, or PowerBIWillingness to spend up to 50% of time on manufacturing floor for data collection and observationUnderstanding of semiconductor manufacturing operations and supply chain management
