Senior Member of Technical Staff, Thin Films Engineer

As part of Intel Foundry’s Manufacturing Development and Customer Engineering organization, this position guides thin film process development from qualification through high-volume production. The engineer may work across CVD, ALD, PVD, epitaxy, thermal or plasma deposition, furnaces, implants, anneals, and related treatment technologies. Responsibilities include solving complex manufacturing issues, improving process capability and equipment performance, and coordinating efforts among technology development, fab operations, integration, yield, quality, reliability, business groups, and suppliers. The role also requires translating technical data and industry developments into practical strategies for advanced nodes and foundry customers. It suits an experienced semiconductor professional with strong thin film expertise, cross-functional leadership skills, and a record of delivering process or manufacturing improvements under demanding timelines.

Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or STEM field5+ years semiconductor industry experience with strong focus on thin film deposition processesProven process development, technical leadership, and manufacturing engineering expertiseExperience optimizing processes with major equipment suppliers (AMAT, LAM, ASM, TEL)Proficiency with Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and factory automation systemsFab startup experience across manufacturing, quality, R&D, and supply chain functions
